Three products I’m loving right now; a concealer, lipstick and mascara. Such beauty basics. I’ve written more in depth reviews on each of these products so I’ll keep it brief here.
The Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks are a lovely, creamy, high colour pay off formula that do everything a lipstick needs to do in my opinion. The curved bullet shape rounds the lips perfectly for a little extra plump and the novel and beautiful packaging is an added bonus. In my opinion these go head-to-head with Chanel lippies for the ultimate in ‘feel good’ make up purchases.
The RMS Uncover-Up concealer is a light-coverage creamy option that’s perfect for winter when skin is drier, and perfect for summer when you want the more ‘barely there’ makeup look. It’s a little pick-me-up for under the eyes that won’t erase darkness but brightens and lifts your spirits after a late night. It’s emollient, packaged in their signature cute glass pots and a good dupe for Glossier’s Stretch Concealer for those of us who aren’t located on their shipping-route. I find it’s best applied with fingers and pressed into the skin.
The Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara is one of the chunkiest tubes on the market. It’s wand takes some getting used to but if you’re familiar with Lancôme’s Monsieur Big then you’ll be comfortable with this. It’s non-clumpy and I find it really lengthening, and worth the inevitable clean up required from the big wand.
